Sign In Regulations

OK members, members guests and visitors, unless you have been on Mars or Jupiter or some other inter-planetary mission away from earth, you will know that as of Friday 05-Feb-2021 the WA Government reinforced the mandatory requirement that entry to our Club (and lots of other places) will be limited to those that have completed a contact register (or scanned a code – more about that below). In order to comply with those Regulations, the Club will have a Contact register and QR code available on entry to the Clubrooms. This paper register will ONLY contain your name and phone number and time of entry, and the Club will only retain it for a period of 28 days.
NOTE: If you leave the Club premises and return you will have to sign in again.

To assist with this MANDATORY requirement the WA Government have also developed an app for smartphones called SafeWA, that will scan a QR code and remove the need to sign paper forms. The app is available from the Apple App store, or Google store (just search for “SafeWA”). This app only stores your phone number and name and (optionally) your email address, all of which are provided during registration of the app. With the app you just need to scan the QR code at the entrance to the Clubrooms and carry on to the bar. The WA Government advise the app (or server data would be sent to) will only retain the information for 28 days – and even then it will only be time, location, name and contact number.  If you use the app there is no need to use the paper form.
NOTE: The SafeWA app is simple and easy to register your details but is not compulsory – you can continue to sign in manually each time you visit.

Some members may wish to attend the Club to bowl and not use the Club Facilities, or use the greens when the Club is closed. We have been advised that a sign in IS required for those members as well. Contact sign in sheets and a QR code will be available from the Mats & Jacks lockers at the greens. As above these must be used (paper or scan) when the Club is closed or even if you are not going to enter the Club.

In order to comply with these Regulations (of which fines can be applied if not followed) – if you are not willing to complete the paper form, or scan the code with the app, then you will be refused entry to the Club premises.

If you have any questions please see a member of the Executive but bear in mind this is a WA Government requirement and as such the Club Committee is required to comply with the rules and cannot amend (or bend) them. The Club Committee understand some members or visitors may not be happy with the requirements but that is out of our control.
